KMK Construction Inc., a disabled veteran-owned construction firm in Eliot, has received a $4 million contract from the U.S. Naval Facilities Engineering Command-Mid-Atlantic, in Groton, Connecticut, for construction services.

The company, owned by Paul Runions, has a 30-year history of doing project work at military installations, including previous projects at the New London submarine base in Groton. Since Runions founded KMK in 1996, the company has focused solely on government agency work.
