The two convicted murderers used power tools to break out of the maximum security prison and may have had help, authorities said. Hundreds of police conducted a massive manhunt through the week, but the killers were still at large on Friday.

JUNE 9: Former U.S. House Speaker Dennis Hastert arrives for an appearance in federal court in Chicago to be arraigned on charges of trying to hide large cash transactions and lying to the FBI about it. According to an indictment, Hastert, 73, was trying to evade detection of $3.5 million in payments he had promised to make to someone from his hometown of Yorkville, Illinois, to conceal past misconduct against the person.

JUNE 12: Firefighter John Fusco gives a drink of water to a dog he rescued from a structure fire in Manchester, Connecticut. Fusco rescued the dog from a bedroom on the second floor. The dog was taken by an animal control officer to a veterinarian to be checked out. No one was home at the time of the fire and it was quickly extinguished.
