A person with knowledge of the details said Wednesday that the Boston Celtics landed Amir Johnson with a two-year deal worth $24 million.

Johnson, a veteran power forward, agreed to leave Toronto and stay within the Atlantic Division. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because no deals can be signed yet.

All reports of players joining new teams are done on condition of anonymity because deals aren’t allowed to be signed until July 9.

Johnson averaged 9.3 points and 6.1 rebounds for the Atlantic champions last season, his sixth in Toronto. The 6-foot-9 Johnson began his career in Detroit, where he was a second-round pick in 2005.

He can look for minutes in a Boston forward-center rotation that includes Brandon Bass, Jared Sullinger, Kelly Olynyk and Tyler Zeller.

CAVALIERS: After all the speculation and intrigue surrounding power forward Kevin Love’s foray into the free-agent market, he ended up where he said he would all along – in Cleveland.

Love agreed to terms on a maximum contract of five years that could be worth more than $110 million, a person with knowledge of the deal said.

 A person with knowledge of the situation said Iman Shumpert agreed to terms on a four-year, $40 million contract that will keep him in Cleveland.

CLIPPERS: Paul Pierce, the former Boston great, agreed to a three-year, $10 million deal to join the team, a person with knowledge of the negotiations said.

Pierce spent this past season with Washington, which wanted him back for a second year. But the lure of going back to southern California – he went to high school in the Los Angeles suburb of Inglewood, California – and playing for Coach Doc Rivers again was apparently too strong to ignore.

BULLS: Guard Jimmy Butler and Chicago agreed to a five-year contract that could be worth about $90 million, a person familiar with the situation said.

Butler also holds an option for the fifth year.

SPURS: Danny Green agreed to terms on a four-year contract worth $45 million, a person with knowledge of the situation said. The team also will keep Kawhi Leonard, the future franchise cornerstone discovered at the 15th overall pick in 2011, to a maximum contract worth roughly $90 million over five years.

RAPTORS: DeMarre Carroll is leaving Atlanta to join Toronto.

SUNS: Phoenix reached an agreement with forward Tyson Chandler on a three-year, $52 million contract and agreed with Brandon Knight on a five-year, $70 million extension, people with knowledge of the situation said.

PELICANS: New Orleans and 7-foot center Alexis Ajinca agreed on a four-year, $20.2 million extension.

HAWKS-SPURS: Atlanta is finalizing a trade for San Antonio center Tiago Splitter, a person with knowledge of the deal said.

HAWKS: Atlanta reached an agreement to re-sign free-agent power forward Paul Millsap, a person with knowledge of the deal said.

GRIZZLIES: Memphis agreed to terms with free-agent forward Brandan Wright, a person familiar with the situation said.

HEAT: A person with knowledge of the negotiations said Goran Dragic agreed to a five-year contract worth about $90 million.

WARRIORS: Draymond Green announced on Bleacher Report’s Uninterrupted website that he’s agreed to a five-year deal to return to Golden State.

A person with knowledge of the agreement said the contract is worth about $85 million.
