The group of animals available for adoption includes a litter of five puppies that were abandoned in the middle of a dirt road in Mississippi at 5 weeks old. About 38 animals rescued by Coastal will be up for adoption.

The sanctuary is a new transport partner for the Coastal Humane Society, which regularly makes trips to shelters in the South to rescue animals in need.
