I am a graduate of Averill High School at Good Will-Hinckley (many years ago) and am outraged at Gov. LePage’s actions.

To summarily decide that satisfying his petty vendetta against someone from another political party by putting help for at-risk kids in the crossfire is not the mark of a responsible public servant.

His blackmail put school authorities in an untenable position. They hired as president someone they considered the best person for the job, and from all I have heard, they made an excellent choice.

The withdrawal of the job offer to Mark Eves may be something that cannot be reversed, and that is a shame for the kids. They are the least-considered parties in this mess.

My life is testimony to what Good Will can and did do for many of us who went there from troubled situations and had their lives turned around. Who speaks for them?
