MANCHESTER, N.H. — Jack Murphy scored the winning run in the bottom of the 11th inning when Roemon Fields singled into left field completing the New Hampshire Fisher Cats’ 5-4 come-from-behind victory over the Portland Sea Dogs.
The Sea Dogs, who fall to 32-62, scored in the first when Carlos Asuaje scored on a base hit by Sam Travis.
Manuel Margot scored a second run when Blake Swihart grounded into a double play in the top of the sixth.
New Hampshire scored twice on an error in the bottom of the eight to tie the game at 2-2.
Portland then took a 4-2 lead when Travis hit a two-run home run in the top of the ninth. Shane Opitz hit an RBI double in the bottom of the inning to tie it for New Hampshire (48-42).
Luis Diaz made a solid start for the Sea Dogs. He pitched seven innings, allowing three hits, while walking two and striking out three.
Relief pitcher Madison Younginer (3-4) took the loss after giving up seven hits in 21/3 innings.
New Hampshire reliever Danny Barnes (3-2) was credited with the win. He worked two innings giving up three hits and two walks while striking out two.
The teams take the field again at 1:35 p.m. Sunday.
