History teaches us that during the rise of Adolf Hitler and Nazism, the West tried to appease the evil Hitler. In a famous speech, then-British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain said the negotiations with Hitler had led to “peace for our time.”

We all know the result of the appeasement of Hitler – a world war with millions of deaths and untold destruction. The lesson learned was that appeasement of evil, power-hungry people does not work.

But it seems that President Obama, Secretary of State John Kerry and other leaders did not learn this lesson that history teaches the rest of us.

Obama, et al., want us to believe that this time it will be different: Just play nice with Iran and their evil leaders and they will leave us alone.

Have Obama and Kerry forgotten Iran has sworn to kill us all? Did they not hear Iran say they will kill every Jew and wipe Israel from the earth?

Do Obama and Kerry not know they are negotiating with a culture that openly states it is fine to lie to non-Muslims if it furthers their aims?

Does Obama think I would believe the government will see to it that Iran will not get a nuclear bomb when my government will not even protect me and my family from criminal illegal immigrants running around free in the country?

Iran is the biggest sponsor of terrorism in the world – am I the only one who can see what might happen if terrorists get a nuclear bomb? God help us.

I pray that Congress can stop this agreement with Iran before it’s too late.
