Artists are invited to submit entries for the first art show at First Congregational Church, 301 Cottage Road, South Portland. Original paintings, drawings, photographs and prints with the theme “Images of the Divine” may be entered and the show is open to student, amateur and professional artists. The show is scheduled for Oct. 17 and the registration deadline is Sept. 15. Judges will award cash prizes in several categories. Registration forms and guidelines are available at fccucc.org.

David DiNapoli has been named development director for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland by Bishop Robert P. Deeley. DiNapoli currently works for Changing Our World in New York City and will begin his new position in Portland on July 27. Previously, he served as an executive consultant at O’Meara Ferguson in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and as a campaign director for the Archdiocese of New York. DiNapoli holds a degree in theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio. He is married and has four children.
