A 67-year-old man died early Tuesday at the Maine Correctional Center in Windham but police do not suspect foul play.

Robert Lewis had served four months of a three-year sentence handed down by Kennebec County Superior Court in March for possession of sexually explicit material of a minor under 12. He died at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The case was referred to the Maine State Police and Attorney General’s Office. The Department of Corrections would not provide more information about the death. A spokesman for the state police said there is no indication of foul play.
