Staci Creech of Bangor continues to lead after two days of the Maine Women’s Amateur golf tournament at Biddeford-Saco Country Club.

Creech shot a 77 in Tuesday’s second round for a two-day total of 152, two strokes better than Emily Bouchard of Biddeford-Saco. Bouchard is a two-time winner of the event, in 2012 and 2013.

Bouchard had the best round Tuesday, shooting a 76 following a first-round score of 78. Creech, of Bangor Municipal, shot a 77 to go with Monday’s 75.

Laurie Hyndman of Portland (The Woodlands) shot a 79 for the second consecutive round to move into third with a 158.

Those three will tee off at noon in Wednesday’s final round.

Bailey Plourde, a junior golfer from Newcastle (Samoset) is fourth at 159 after shooting an 81. Prudence Hornberger of Turner Highlands (81-79) and defending champ Leslie Guenther of Hebron (78-82) are tied for fifth at 160.

Those three are expected to tee off at 11:50 a.m. Wednesday
