MANCHESTER, N.H. — Police say a man accused of snatching a purse from an 87-year-old woman during a church service is now accused of stealing from clergy members.
Police said Steven Doiron, 29, of Manchester is charged with theft by deception.
They say a priest at St. Raphael’s Church gave him $50 to help him get home to Baltimore.
Two days later, they say, a minister from First Presbyterian Church drove Doiron to the bus station and bought him a $111 ticket to Baltimore.
Doiron pleaded not guilty to stealing a purse July 12.
