The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, the Coast Guard and the Maine Marine Patrol are asking for the public’s help in finding a Long Island man who has not been seen since Sunday.

Dana L. Moy, 31, left messages for his family and friends indicating that they would not find him alive, said Lt. Donald Foss of the sheriff’s office in a press release Wednesday.

Moy owns a white 2005 Carolina Skiff named Low Expectations. The 17-foot boat, which has a 70-horsepower outboard motor, is missing from its marina slip on Long Island.

Moy, who lives at 103 Stepping Stone Lane, is described as white, 5 feet 10 inches tall and 185 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. Moy was last seen riding his bicycle on Sunday.

The Coast Guard and the Marine Patrol have been notified and are searching for Moy’s boat. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts should contact the sheriff’s office at 774-1444, extension 2215.
