The Casco Bay Flotilla of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is looking for new members to join Team Coast Guard. The auxiliary is the uniformed civilian branch that supports the Coast Guard in nearly all its missions. Those interested in boating and serving the community are welcome to attend an informational session at 7 p.m. Aug.  20 at the South Portland Coast Guard Base. Bath’s Pitman-Morrison Post 7738 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and their Auxiliary was awarded a National Outstanding Community Service Post Award at the 116th National Convention in Pittsburgh in July. The annual award is presented to approximately 60 posts out of  about 7,400 worldwide. Last year Post 7738 donated more than $32,000 to local veterans’ charities and community organizations.
