I just read the fine article on the passing of Macka Foley (“Former heavyweight boxer Macka Foley dies at 64,” Aug. 4). Not only was Macka a fine boxer as well as a basketball player, he was an even finer human being.
Macka grew up on Salem Street in Portland’s West End. We will all cherish his memory.
