The New England Patriots acquired return specialist and receiver Jalen Saunders from the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday in exchange for an undisclosed draft pick.

The Patriots also claimed rookie receiver DaVaris Daniels off waivers from Minnesota.

In New Orleans’ preseason game against Houston on Sunday, Saunders returned five kickoffs for 132 yards.

The Patriots also made a series of roster moves. They placed fullback James Develin and rookie defensive back Darryl Roberts on injured reserve, placed linebacker Dane Fletcher and defensive lineman Chris Jones on the PUP/reserve list and released guard Chris Barker and rookie linebacker D.J. Lynch.

Saunders, 22, originally entered the NFL as a fourth-round draft pick (104th overall) of the New York Jets out of Oklahoma in 2014.
