WESTBROOK — Westbrook scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns but couldn’t complete the comeback as it dropped its Class B South season opener Friday night, 22-21 against Leavitt.

Westbrook took a 7-0 lead in the first half on a 63-yard pass from Bailey Sawyer to Bailey Ryan. Leavitt then built a 22-7 lead before Sawyer scored on a 2-yard run in the fourth quarter, but the 2-point conversion attempt failed.

Westbrook put together another drive and scored on an 18-yard pass to Ryan, and Sawyer’s conversion pass to Hamza Hanifi cut the deficit to 22-21.

Ryan finished with 122 yards on five catches. Sawyer completed 9 of 18 passes for 155 yards.

Levi Craig passed for 162 yards and two touchdowns and ran in for another score for Leavitt, which moved up from Class C this year. Max Green had five catches for 86 yards and a score, and Hunter Sirois gained 68 yards on 12 carries.

KENNEBUNK 26, GREELY 14: Justin Wiggins passed for one touchdown and ran for another as the Rams beat the Rangers in Kennebunk.

Jesse Lacasse pulled in a pass from Wiggins at the 13 and raced into the end zone for a 28-yard scoring play early in the second quarter, and Evan Warren rushed for the conversion. Thomas Wildes’ 4-yard TD run made it 14-0 at halftime.

Warren plunged in from the 1 in the third quarter, and Wiggins scored on a 2-yard run for a 26-0 lead.

Sam Peck’s 2-yard run in the fourth quarter put Greely on the board. Alex Kroot followed with a 9-yard touchdown run and passed for the 2-point conversion.

YARMOUTH 31, LAKE REGION 13: Jack Snyder and Remi LeBlanc each scored a pair of touchdowns as the Clippers cruised past the Lakers at Yarmouth.

Snyder opened the scoring with a 3-yard run in the first quarter and caught a 5-yard TD pass from John Thoma in the third quarter. LeBlanc scored on a 5-yard run in the first quarter and a 4-yard run in the third.

OAK HILL 42, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 14: Dalton Therrien threw three touchdown passes and rushed for two more as two-time defending Class D state champion Oak Hill rolled to a win at Old Orchard Beach.

Therrien finished with 399 yards of offense, including 150 on the ground on seven carries. He completed 10 of 14 passes for 249 yards, including a 39-yard scoring strike to Connor Nilsson. He also threw a 60-yard touchdown pass to Colby Spencer.

Nilsson finished with three catches for 95 yards. Spencer had two catches for 80 yards.

“Our receivers did a good job,” Oak Hill Coach Stacen Doucette said. “It was a good win, but we have a lot to work on. We have some things to build on, some things to work on.

OOB scored first on a 6-yard run by Mason Beaudoin early in the first quarter.

But Therrien tied it with a 59-yard touchdown run, then threw a 39-yard TD pass to Nilsson as time expired in the first quarter.

Levi Buteau rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown on six carries for Oak Hill.

WINSLOW 43, BELFAST 0: Nate St. Amand rushed for two touchdowns, including a 55-yard run, to lead the Black Raiders over the Lions in Belfast.

Jacob Trask rushed and passed for a touchdown for Winslow. Patrick Hopkins had an 8-yard run for a touchdown, and Kenny Rickard added a 2-yard touchdown run.

MADISON 35, OCEANSIDE 18: Mitch Jarvais caught a pair of touchdown passes from Chase Malloy as the Bulldogs won at Madison.

LISBON 14, WINTHROP/MONMOUTH 7: The Greyhounds capitalized on four turnovers to rally past the Ramblers in Winthrop.

Trailing 7-6, Lisbon got the go-ahead touchdown in the third quarter following a turnover deep in Winthrop/Monmouth territory. Tyler Halls hit Tyrese Joseph for a 15-yard touchdown, then rushed for the 2-point conversion.

Alec Brown got the Ramblers on the scoreboard first with a 2-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.

Halls connected with Henry Adams for a 58-yard touchdown pass later in the second quarter, but Halls’ point-after attempt hit the upright.
