The Guy P. Gannett Journalism Scholarship Fund of the Maine Community Foundation has awarded scholarships to 16 students, all graduates of Maine high schools. They are are Jill Baker, Freeport; Sam Hill, Portland; Nick McGoldrick, Windham; Nathaniel Trask, Vassalboro; Levi Bridges, Sedgwick; Christopher Crosby, Auburn; and John Dodson, Topsham. Scholarships were renewed for: Lainey Cohen, Ellsworth; Ryan Cox, Bar Harbor; Dominique Hessert, Lamoine; Abigail Mace, Readfield; Kirsta McComb, Chester; Erin O’Leary, Auburn; Adam Robinson, Auburn; Cynthia Thielen, Surry; and Joshua Keefe, Veazie. Maine Community Foundation has also announced the Daniel Cardillo Charitable Fund scholarship grants that allow students to pursue nontraditional or diverse programs. Current Maine recipients are Jason Almquist, Lewiston; Ella Butts, Portland; Karina Cole, Waldoboro; Brooke Laliberte, Greene; Anna MacDonald, Bangor; Rylee McCormack and Samuel Morse, both of Carrabassett Valley; Troy Murphy, Bethel; Alexandra Rydlizky, Ellsworth; and Owen White, Falmouth.
