Why, as U.S. citizens, are we bombarded?
Our baseball players can assault each other with 100-mph fastballs and bats. Hockey players can assault each other with sticks and razor-sharp skates.
Football stars on steroids who weigh 350 pounds can paralyze each other. Soccer stars can incite riots that kill people. NASCAR drivers can operate 6,000-pound weapons.
And General Motors can commit manslaughter/murder of 120-plus people and get away with it all. Just write a big enough check and even life does not matter.
What has this society become? A civilized nation? I think not.
We are teaching our children that it is OK to hurt others for profit. As long as you can steal and lie and pocket enough profit, you can win – i.e., politics and the Patriots.
