Author and hiker Jeff Romano will detail his new book “Day Hiking: New England” at a meeting of the Appalachian Mountain Club Maine Chapter. Designed to be a pocket edition for hikers, the book offers a plethora of infomation on a variety of day hike venues, including degrees of difficulty, distances, varieties of habitat and interesting geologic and historic features associated with those hiking areas.
