BREWER — Logan Rogerson threw three touchown passes and ran for a fourth Friday night as Brewer scored a 34-27 victory at Doyle Field that sent Brunswick to its first Class B North football loss of the season.

Rogerson’s 41-yard run broke a 14-14 tie with 9:50 left in the third quarter. The Witches (5-1) extended their lead to 28-14 on a 18-yard pass from Rogerson to Tyler Hafford with 25 seconds left in the third quarter.

Brunswick (5-1) cut the deficit to 28-21 on a 17-yard pass from Thomas Hanson to Corbin Teel with 7:45 remaining in the game.

On the ensuing drive, Brewer converted a fourth-and-7 on a pass from Rogerson to Tyler Friel and went on to score on a 5-yard run by Dylan Severance.

WESTBROOK 40, YORK 10: The Blue Blazes (3-3) collected 285 rushing yards and handled the Wildcats (1-5) at Westbrook.

Zach Hutchins had 21 carries for 203 yards and three touchdowns, and Demante Loureiro carried 17 times for 220 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

THORNTON ACADEMY 55, MASSABESIC 7: Austin McCrum threw four touchdown passes as the Golden Trojans (5-1) cruised past the Mustangs (0-6) at Waterboro.

Corey Hart had a pair of touchdown catches and added a punt return for a score.

WELLS 59, LAKE REGION 0: Jake Spofford rushed for two touchdowns, and Chad Fitzpatrick rushed for another and also returned a blocked field goal for a touchdown to lead the Warriors (4-2) over the Lakers (0-6) at Wells.

Reid Chase ran for 112 yards to lead the Warriors, who took a 27-0 first-quarter lead and led 46-0 at halftime.

OCEANSIDE 35, HERMON 8: Nate Raye had 10 carries for 203 yards and a touchdown as the Mariners (3-3) downed the Hawks (0-6) at Rockland.

BOOTHBAY REGION 38, TELSTAR 8: Dima Gosselin had one touchdown reception and also rushed for a touchdown for the Seahawks (1-4), who took a 31-0 halftime lead and downed the Rebels (0-5) at Boothbay Harbor.

SANFORD 41, EDWARD LITTLE 25: The Spartans (3-3) rushed for 387 yards and defeated the Red Eddies (2-4) at Auburn.

Peter Hegarty ran for 150 yards on 28 carries and a pair of touchdowns, and Sam Anderson added a rushing touchdown and a fumble recovery for a score.

BIDDEFORD 41, MT. ARARAT 14: Lucas Rhoy rushed for 136 yards and a pair of touchdowns for the Tigers (4-2), who held the Eagles (1-5) scoreless in the second half at Topsham.

Mt. Ararat took a 6-0 lead on an interception return for a touchdown. Jeremy Lugiano returned the ensuing kickoff 75 yards for a touchdown to give the Tigers a 7-6 lead.

YARMOUTH 29, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 9: Cody Cook ran for 83 yards and scored three touchdowns as the Clippers (6-0) cruised past the Phoenix (3-3) at Jay.

Yarmouth took a 12-0 halftime lead on a 4-yard Cook run and a 33-yard pass from John Thoma to Noah Eckersley-Ray.
