Police say a West Paris man was arrested in Gray on Wednesday after Maine Drug Enforcement Agency agents found him in his car with heroin that police valued at $17,000.
Dennis A. Russell, 28, was arrested while parked in front of a convenience store on Portland Road, said Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
According to McCausland, Russell had 85 grams of heroin that officials believe was being transported to Oxford County.
Russell was charged with selling heroin and taken to the Cumberland County Jail, where bail was set at $40,000.
McCausland said additional arrests are expected in the case.
