LEWISTON — Bo Abdi Shariff-Hassan and Noralddin Othman each scored a goal and set up another as No. 1 Lewiston (17-0) beat No. 2 Hampden Academy (13-4) 4-0 for the Class A North boys’ soccer championship Wednesday night.

Lewiston returns to the state title game Saturday against Scarborough.

Hassan Qeyle and Maslah Hassan also scored for Lewiston, held scoreless until 4:44 left in the first half.

Blue Devils keeper Austin Wing did not make a save in the shutout.

ERSKINE 2, ELLSWORTH 1: No. 10 Erskine scored a goal in each half and played tremendous defense to beat top-seeded Ellsworth in the Class B North final.

The Eagles (14-4) will play in their first state championship game against Yarmouth (15-1-1) at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Fitzpatrick Stadium.

Ellsworth, the defending regional champion, finished 13-3-1.

Trevor Hubbard’s goal off a Luke Peabody deflection with 35:47 left in the first half gave Erskine a 1-0 lead.

Peabody broke in alone after long pass and fired a hard, low shot to the left corner of the net past Ellsworth keeper Bruce St. Peter, giving Erskine a 2-0 lead with 16:25 left in the second half.

BUCKFIELD 1, RICHMOND 0: The Bucks outdueled the Bobcats 5-3 in penalty kicks to capture the Class D South title.

Buckfield (16-1-0) will play Fort Fairfield (16-0-1) for the state Class D title at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Presque Isle Middle School.

BANGOR 3, CAMDEN HILLS 2: Maddie Cormier scored with 30 seconds left to break a 2-2 tie and give the second-seeded Rams (14-1-2) the upset over the top-seeded Windjammers (15-1-1) in the Class A North regional final at Rockport.

Bryan Anderson scored twice in the first half for the Windjammers.

Grace Morris scored in the first half, and Katie Butler tied it at 2 in the second half for the Rams.

RICHMOND 5, RANGELEY 0: Kelsea Anair scored two goals to tie the school scoring record as the Bobcats (15-1-0) coasted to Class D South final win over the Lakers (10-4).

Richmond, in the Class D state championship game for the sixth consecutive year, plays Ashland at 3 p.m. Saturday at Presque Isle Middle School.
