CANTON, Ohio — The Maine Red Claws withstood a furious comeback by the Canton Charge in the third quarter and held on Saturday night to pick up their first victory of the season, 106-99.

Terry Rozier, who had been assigned to Maine earlier in the day from the Boston Celtics, led the way with 29 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

Jordan Mickey had 19 points and 12 rebounds, and James Young added 14 points.

The Red Claws (1-1) jumped out quickly, leading 34-16 by the end of the first quarter. Maine continued its hot shooting in the second quarter and led by 29 points when Young hit a jump shot with 4:05 left in the half.

Canton (0-1) came out of the half and went on a 22-3 run, taking a 64-63 lead on a Michael Dunigan layup.

Corey Walden hit a couple of quick baskets to regain the lead for Maine, as the Red Claws led 82-80 heading to the fourth quarter.

Maine finished the game on a 14-7 run as Mickey and Young closed the game on back-to-back 3-pointers.

Joe Harris, on assignment from the Cleveland Cavaliers, led all scorers with 31 points, Nick Minnerath had 17 points and 10 boards, while Quinn Cook tossed in 15 points.
