A section of Route 35 in Dayton will be shut down while crews respond to a tractor-trailer truck that rolled over, spilling its load of sand and gravel.

The Shaw Brothers truck was headed north at 12:15 p.m. when the driver lost control and the truck rolled over and hit a utility pole.

The driver was taken to Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford with minor injuries, police said.

Crews from the Maine Department of Environmental Protection and the transportation department are on the scene as well as Central Maine Power Co., which is repairing the pole.

Route 35 from Dayton Lane to Clarks Mills Road will be closed for much of the afternoon while the truck is righted and the pole repaired, police said. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
