Abby Cavallaro made four 3-pointers and finished with 20 points, and Cheverus pulled away in the second half for a 49-37 win over Bangor in a Class AA North girls’ basketball game Friday night.

Brooke Dawson and Kaylin Malmquist added eight points apiece for Cheverus (3-0), which trailed 25-21 at halftime.

Olivia Sharrow led Bangor (0-3) with 13 points. Katie Butler finished with 11.

SCARBOROUGH 48, SANFORD 38: Jordan Cowan scored six of her 12 points in the second quarter to help the Red Storm (1-1) take control against Sanford (1-2) at Scarborough.

Scarborough outscored the Spartans 18-8 in the second quarter to open a 31-20 lead.

Brooke Malone paced Scarborough with 14 points, including nine in the fourth quarter.

Julia Allen and Annie Ledue scored 10 points apiece for Sanford.

MCAULEY 59, BONNY EAGLE 38: Catherine Reid scored eight of her 11 points in the third quarter as the Lions (3-0) opened the second half with an 18-4 run to secure a win over the Scots (1-2) at Standish.

Jess Willerson scored 19 points to pace the Lions. Brooke Howard chipped in with 10 points.

Bonny Eagle was led by Lauryn Fagan with seven points.

OXFORD HILLS 62, PORTLAND 46: Erin Morton scored seven of her 24 points in the third quarter as Oxford Hills (2-1) used a 17-7 run to take control against the Bulldogs (0-3) at Portland.

Tiana Sugars added 16 points for the Vikings, who stretched a 32-27 halftime lead with their third-quarter surge.

Cierra Burnham led Portland with 19 points.

THORNTON ACADEMY 49, MASSABESIC 33: Ashley Howe scored 15 points and Isabella Robinson added 12 for the Trojans (3-0) in a win against Massabesic (0-2) at Saco.

Thornton led by two at the end of the first quarter, but Robinson’s six points in the second quarter helped the Trojans widen the lead to 27-15 by halftime.

McKenzy Ouellette led the Mustangs with nine points.

DEERING 61, EDWARD LITTLE 47: Amanda Brett led Deering (2-1) with 19 points and 10 rebounds in a victory over the Red Eddies (2-1) at Portland.

Tasia Titherington helped out with 17 points, including eight in the fourth quarter. Delaney Haines added 13 points and Abby Ramirez dished out seven assists.

Edward Little’s Emily Jacques led all scorers with 23 points.

YORK 66, MARSHWOOD 40: Shannon Todd scored 16 points, and the Wildcats (3-0) opened the game with a 16-5 run against the Hawks (1-2) at South Berwick.

Emma Thompson made four 3-pointers and finished with 14 points for York. Mia Briggs added 11 points.

Marshwood was led by Kathleen Locke with 10 points.

LAKE REGION 53, LINCOLN ACADEMY 44: Spencer True made a pair of 3-pointers and Kristen Huntress was 4 of 6 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter as the Lakers (2-1) pulled away from the Eagles (2-1) at Naples.

Huntress finished with 23 points. Lauren Jakobs scored 12 points, and Chandler True had six points and seven rebounds for Lake Region, which led 40-38 after three quarters.

Gabrielle Wajer and Avae Traina each had 12 points for Lincoln.

GREELY 52, BRUNSWICK 36: Isabel Porter and Molly Chapin each sank a pair 3-pointers in the first quarter as the Rangers (2-1) built a 17-5 lead on their way to a win over the Dragons (0-3) at Brunswick.

Brunswick closed to within eight in the third quarter with the help of eight points from Maddy Suhr, but Greely converted 7 of 8 free throws in the fourth quarter to regain control.

Chapin finished with 14 points, Anna DeWolfe scored 13 and Porter had 11.

Suhr paced Brunswick with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

MORSE 45, CAPE ELIZABETH 35: Emma Harrington scored 17 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lift the Shipbuilders (2-1) to a win over the Capers (0-3) at Bath.

Noa Sreden and Katherine Moore chipped in with seven points apiece and Isabelle Paulus blocked four shots for Morse.

Cape Elizabeth was paced by Madeleine Bowe with 21 points.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 42, LEAVITT 38: Julia Quinn scored 18 points to lead the Raiders (2-0), who held on to edge the Hornets (2-1) at Turner.

Rebecca Fogg finished with 14 points and five rebounds and Chantel Eells pulled down 10 rebounds for Leavitt, which never led.

TRAIP ACADEMY 56, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 21: Kiara Perez scored nine points to lead a balanced attack for the Rangers (1-2) against the Panthers (0-3) at Yarmouth.

Cassidy Delano and Marina Casey added eight points apiece.

MESSALONSEE 60, MEDOMAK VALLEY 28: Sophia Holmes finished with 19 points and keyed a second-half surge for the Eagles (2-1) in a win over the Panthers (1-2) at Waldoboro.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 43, SACOPEE VALLEY 17: Ashley Jordan finished with 11 points and seven rebounds to lead the Patriots (3-0) to a win over Sacopee Valley (1-2) in Gray.

ST. DOMINIC 32, LISBON 28: Allie Veinote scored eight points to lead the Saints (2-2) past the Greyhounds (1-3) at Auburn.

Rileigh Stebbins and Abby Castonguay added seven points apiece for St. Dom’s, which took the lead for good on a free throw by Stebbins with 1:27 left.

LAWRENCE 63, BREWER 42: Nia Irving had 16 points and 15 rebounds to pace the Bulldogs to a win at Fairfield.

Dominique Lewis added 14 points for Lawrence (3-0). Cameron Caldwell scored 13 points and Morgan Boudreau had 11.

Haley Robertson and Becca Giroux led Brewer (2-1) with seven points apiece.

WINSLOW 51, WATERVILLE 39: Heather Kervin scored 13 points and Ciara LeClair added 10 to pace the Black Raiders (3-0) to a win over the Panthers (1-2) in Winslow.
