PHILADELPHIA — With David Krejci out for the foreseeable future, goal-scoring production is a chief concern for the Boston Bruins.

Not only are the Bruins’ complementary players like Brett Connolly struggling (one goal in his past 31 games), but a drought has hit one of their best scorers.

Brad Marchand, still tied for the team lead in goals with 15, has not scored in his past 10 games, including Wednesday night’s 3-2 loss to the Flyers. Throw in his three-game suspension that included the Winter Classic, and the winger hasn’t scored since Dec. 14.

“When you’ve missed about a week and a half, it doesn’t take much sometimes to kind of lose your rhythm a little bit. He’s got to find it,” Coach Claude Julien said. “The games that he’s played (two since returning from suspension), he’s just been OK, but he’ll get himself going.”

Marchand doesn’t seem worried about his skid.

“I feel like every game I’ve had a good chance or two. Sometimes they go and sometimes they don’t,” said Marchand, who had one shot against Philadelphia, a tip attempt that could have been the tying goal but was stopped by goalie Steve Mason. “You just want to make sure that you’re continuing to play the same game. I always say that you don’t have to worry unless the chances stop coming, so eventually it’s going to go in. I just have to stay positive.”

Marchand usually hits a bump in the road at some point during the season. He had 24 goals in 2014-15 but went 15 games without one late in the season. It is the kind of slump that separates a 20- or 25-goal scorer, which is what Marchand has been since his first full NHL season in 2010-11, from a 35- or 40-goal scorer.

SABRES: Goalie Robin Lehner is ready to return after an AHL conditioning assignment.

Lehner has been out since spraining his right ankle midway through a 3-1 season-opening loss to Ottawa on Oct. 8.

DEVILS: The NHL fined forward Jordin Tootoo $2,000 for his second offense of the diving-embellishment rule.
