NEWARK, Del. — Friday night turned out to be a milestone night for the Maine Red Claws as they defeated the Delaware 87ers, 147-133.

The Red Claws (16-13) hit 10 3-pointers on their way to a franchise-record 46 points in a quarter, leading 46-30 after the first period.

Maine continued its frantic pace in the second quarter, building its advantage to a game-high 24 points and taking an 81-61 halftime lead. The 81 points eclipsed the previous franchise high of 78 in a half on Dec. 6, 2014 against the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

Maine shot 60 percent from the field in the first half to go with 59 percent from behind the arc.

Delaware (17-15) got back into it by scoring 43 third-quarter points – the most in a quarter for a Red Claws opponent – cutting the deficit to 10 points heading to the fourth quarter.

The Sevens then got as close as seven points while taking advantage of Red Claws foul trouble, but Maine held on for a franchise-record total points scored in a game with 147.

Malcolm Miller led the Red Claws with a career-high 30 points and 14 boards, Davion Berry had 21 points and reserve Corey Walden finished with 17.
