BRISTOL, R.I. — Meghan Gribbin went 8 for 8 from the free-throw line and finished with 19 points, and the University of New England women remained undefeated in the Commonwealth Coast Conference with a 76-68 win over Roger Williams on Saturday.

It was the 15th straight victory for the Nor’easters (20-3, 16-0), who reached 20 wins for the eighth straight season.

Lauren Hayden added 16 points and seven rebounds for UNE, which saw the Hawks (14-9, 11-5) cut its 15-point fourth-quarter lead to six before making 15 of 16 free throws down the stretch to hold on.

BOWDOIN 73, CONNECTICUT COLLEGE 61: Shannon Brady’s 21 points led Bowdoin (19-2, 8-2 NESCAC) as the Polar Bears completed their regular season with a victory over the Camels (17-6, 6-4) in New London, Connecticut.

Brady scored six during the first quarter as Bowdoin opened a 20-9 lead. The Polar Bears widened it to 60-40 after by the end of the third quarter.

Kate Kerrigan added 11 points and 15 rebounds for Bowdoin, which secured the No. 3 seed in the conference tournament.Marle Curle had 12 points and Abigail Kelly 10.

ST. JOSEPH’S 70, NORWICH 62: Kelsi McNamara scored 20 points and had 11 assists, Emily Kehoe and Morgan Cahill each added 13 points, and the Monks (18-5, 8-1 GNAC) pulled away from the Cadets (13-10, 5-5) at Standish.

Trailing by two after three quarters, the Monks opened the fourth with a 13-0 run to take control. McNamara scored nine in the quarter.

USM 63, RHODE ISLAND COLLEGE 34: Ella Ramonas had 24 points and 13 rebounds as the Huskies (13-10, 7-5 Little East) cruised past the Anchormen (6-15, 4-8) at Gorham.

Southern Maine took control in the second half, outscoring Rhode Island 40-20.

Gretchen Anderson added 10 points for the Huskies.

COLBY 64, WESLEYAN 48: The Mules (14-10, 6-4 NESCAC) closed the third quarter with an 11-3 run and pulled away from the Cardinals (7-15, 1-9) at Middletown, Connecticut.

Mia Diplock started the deciding run, which broke open a 33-all tie, with a 3-pointer with 4:47 left in the quarter.

Diplock finished with 23 points, and Carylanne Wolfington added 11 points and seven boards.

SMCC 92, VERMONT TECH 28: Maria Veino, Sammie Griffin and Amira Jones scored 12 points apiece to lead a balanced attack for the Seawolves (21-7) as they cruised to a win over the Knights (4-21) at South Portland.

Abigail Nielsen added 11 points and Destinie Montano scored 10 for the Seawolves, who never trailed and led 47-9 at halftime.

MEN’S BASKETBALL

USM 78, RHODE ISLAND COLLEGE 69: Zach Leal had 12 of his 23 points in the first half as the Huskies (14-9, 8-4 Little East) jumped to a 37-24 lead against the Anchormen (4-19, 4-8) at Gorham.

Atencio Martin had 14 points and grabbed eight boards for USM. Jose Nouchanthavong added 13 points, while Cole Libby had 11 and Aaron Toman 10.

COLBY 73, WESLEYAN 64: Patrick Stewart made six 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 20 points, and the Mules (16-8, 4-6) clinched the eighth seed in the NESCAC tournament with a win over the Cardinals (18-6, 5-5) in their regular-season finale at Waterville.

Chris Hudnut added 19 points and a game-high 15 rebounds for the Mules, who used an 11-3 run in the second half to go up by 14.

BOWDOIN 78, CONNECTICUT COLLEGE 71: Lucas Hausman sank a 3-pointer with 2:52 remaining to break a 66-66 tie and spark a 10-0 run that pushed the Polar Bears (12-10, 4-6 NESCAC) past the Camels (12-12, 3-7) at Brunswick.

Jack Simonds added 17 points and Matt Palecki collected 12 points and 14 rebounds for the Polar Bears, who clinched a NESCAC tournament berth.

UNE 62, ROGER WILLIAMS 48: Devin Thompson went 8 for 12 from behind the 3-point line and finished with 28 points to lead the Nor’easters (12-11, 7-9 CCC) over the Hawks (9-14, 7-9) at Bristol, Rhode Island.

UNE led by as many as 18 points before the Hawks rallied to take the lead with 9:34 left. UNE regained control with a 14-2 run that included three 3-pointers from Thompson.

SMCC 79, VERMONT TECH 68: John Morgan scored 21 points to pace the Seawolves (13-16), and host SMCC built an 18-point lead early in the second half against Knights (5-19).

Grayson Waterman added 16 points and seven rebounds for the Seawolves, and Jordan DeRosby finished with 12 points, seven rebounds and six assists.

ST. JOSEPH’S 66, NORWICH 62: Craig Luschenat’s 3-pointer with four minutes left in overtime gave the Monks (8-15, 5-11 GNAC) the lead for good in win over the Cadets (6-17, 3-13) at Standish.

Quinn Richardson-Newton led St. Joseph’s with 18 points, eight rebounds and eight assists. Darian Berry added 15 points off the bench.
