COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Wisconsin shut down No. 2 Maryland in the decisive first half and held on for a 70-57 victory Saturday night, ending the Terrapins’ 27-game home winning streak and knocking them out of a tie atop the Big Ten standings.

Vitto Brown scored a career-high 21 points for the Badgers (16-9, 8-4).

Rasheed Sulaimon scored 17 for Maryland (22-4, 10-3).

(1) VILLANOVA 73, ST. JOHN’S 63: Daniel Ochefu had a career-high 25 points in a win for the host Wildcats (22-3, 12-1 Big East).

(6) KANSAS 76, (3) OKLAHOMA 72: Devonte’ Graham scored a career-high 27 points and did a tenacious job defending Buddy Hield in a win at Norman, Oklahoma.

The Jayhawks (21-4, 9-3 Big 12) swept the regular-season series, winning their first meeting, 109-106, in triple overtime on Jan. 4.

Hield scored 18 of his 24 points in the second half for the Sooners (20-4, 8-4).

DUKE 63, (7) VIRGINIA 62: Grayson Allen banked in a shot at the buzzer for a win at Durham, North Carolina.

The Blue Devils (19-6, 8-4) kept the Cavaliers winless at Cameron Indoor Stadium since 1995.

STANFORD 76, (11) OREGON 72: Michael Humphrey blocked a shot with 4 seconds remaining to preserve the win at Stanford, California.

NOTRE DAME 71, (13) LOUISVILLE 66: Demetrius Jackson had 27 points and Notre Dame (18-7, 9-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) rallied for an upset at South Bend, Indiana.

Damion Lee led the Cardinals (19-6, 8-4) with 13 points.

LSU 76, (15) TEXAS A&M 71: Ben Simmons had 16 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists as LSU (16-9, 9-3 Southeastern Conference) won at home.

MICHIGAN 61, (18) PURDUE 56: Zak Irvin scored 22 points, and Michigan (19-7, 9-4 Big Ten) scored the game’s last 11 points at Ann Arbor, Michigan.

(20) PROVIDENCE 75, GEORGETOWN 72: Rodney Bullock had 23 points and 10 rebounds as the Friars (19-7, 7-6 Big East) held off a furious rally to win at home.

TEXAS TECH 84, (21) BAYLOR 66: Keenan Evans scored 21 points as the Red Raiders won in an upset at Waco, Texas.

(22) KENTUCKY 89, SOUTH CAROLINA 62: Tyler Ulis had career highs of 27 points and 12 assists as the visiting Wildcats (19-6, 9-3 Southeastern Conference) won after Coach John Calipari was ejected less than 3 minutes into the game.

Official Doug Sirmons gave Calipari a technical at the 17:34 mark of the opening half when Calipari complained there was no foul called on a rebound. When Calipari advanced toward him shouting, Sirmons threw him out of the game. That’s when Calipari’s anger increased with three players stepping in front to hold him back.

NORTHERN IOWA 53, (25) WICHITA STATE 50: Klint Carlson scored 12 points and Wyatt Lohaus had 11 as Northern Iowa held on to upset the host Shockers (18-7, 12-2).

WOMEN

(4) BAYLOR 66, TEXAS TECH 36: Nina Davis had 21 points and 12 rebounds for her third double-double of the season to lead Baylor (25-1, 12-1 Big 12) at Lubbock, Texas.

(20) OKLAHOMA STATE 63, (24) WEST VIRGINIA 51: Kaylee Jensen scored 18 points and host Oklahoma State used its defense to set the tone early.
