If you are a member of the Republican Party or the Green Independent Party and want to participate in the Maine Democratic caucus on March 6, you need to register Democratic at your town office or city hall by the end of today, Feb. 19.
For most of my voting life, I’ve been an independent, “unenrolled” in any party. I switch when I find a candidate who I support.
This year I am “feelin’ the Bern,” and I support Bernie Sanders for president. So I registered as a Democrat – or, as I like to call it, a “Berniecrat.” A great site to learn more about Bernie is FeelTheBern.org.
Once you register, you can attend the Democratic caucus, or you can vote absentee by applying for a form at mainedems.org.
