YARMOUTH – Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist Adam Zyglis will talk about editorial cartoons and free speech during lectures in Yarmouth and Portland in March. He will speak at 7 p.m. March 14 at Merrill Memorial Library in Yarmouth and at noon March 15 at the Portland Public Library. His talk is titled, “Editorial Cartoons: Insight or Insult?”
Zyglis draws for the Buffalo News in New York. The events are supported by a grant the Pulitzer Prize Centennial Campfires Initiative Fund, awarded by the Maine Humanities Council. They are co-sponsored by the Merrill Memorial Library, Portland Public Library and the American Civil Liberties Union of Maine. Zach Heiden, legal director of the ACLU of Maine, will moderate the discussion.
