Maine’s average gas prices remained stable over the past week at $1.77 per gallon, according to surveys by price tracking website GasBuddy.com.

GasBuddy.com reported that the region’s lowest gasoline prices are in New Hampshire, where the average price fell half a penny per gallon last week to $1.68.

Nationally, though, average gasoline prices rose 3.7 cents over the course of the week.

Analysts warn that seasonal supply and demand factors that are expected to arrive with warmer weather are likely to end the winter’s long slide in prices.
