The New England Patriots have agreed to a two-year contract extension with quarterback Tom Brady, according to an ESPN report.

Brady was signed with the Patriots through 2017, so the extension would take him through the 2019 season – when he’ll be 42 years old.

He was scheduled to make $9 million in 2016 and $10 million in 2017. It is unknown what he would earn under the extension in 2018 and 2019.

Brady, who turns 39 in August, is coming off a season in which he threw 36 touchdown passes and seven interceptions while leading New England to the AFC Championship Game for the fifth consecutive year.
