Emma Egan of Yarmouth earned All-America distinction Friday by finishing in a tie for sixth place with three other competitors in the high jump at the New Balance indoor track and field nationals in New York.

Egan cleared heights of 5 feet, 3¼ inches and 5-5¼ on her first attempts, but was unable to overcome the next height of 5-7¼.

Nyagoa Bayak of Westbrook finished 19th, also at 5-5¼.

Mikella Lefebvre-Oatis of Montreal won with a height of 5-9¼.
