TRENTON, N.J. — Lane Adams led off the bottom of the eighth inning with a home run off Rob Wort to lift the Trenton Thunder to a 1-0 victory against the Portland Sea Dogs.

Trenton starter Brady Lail struck out four and walked three while giving up four hits over 6 2/3 innings.

Matt Tracy closed out the game with 1 2/3 shutout innings of relief to earn the win for the Thunder (4-2).

Justin Haley started the game for the Sea Dogs (3-4) and scattered six hits while striking out six and walking two over 4 1/3 shutout innings.

Williams Jerez came on in relief of Haley, and gave up one hit and one walk over 2 2/3 innings.

It was the final game of a season-opening seven-game trip for the Sea Dogs.
