KENNEBUNK — Reece Armitage allowed two hits over six innings and also singled in the go-ahead run Monday as Falmouth downed Kennebunk 5-3 in a Western Maine Conference baseball game.

The Yachtsmen (2-0) broke a 3-3 tie with a pair of fourth-inning runs against the Rams (1-2).

Tyler Gee reached on an error and moved to second when Robbie Armitage was hit by a pitch. Reece Armitage singled home Gee to give Falmouth a 4-3 lead and, after a passed ball, Robbie Armitage scored on Colin Coyne’s sacrifice fly.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 9, POLAND 3: Josiah Rottari went 4 for 4 with four RBI and a run to lead the Patriots (2-2) over the Knights (0-3) at Poland.

John Henry Villanueva struck out six and walked one, scattering 11 hits for Gray-New Gloucester. He also had two hits and scored twice.

Gawain Tibbetts, Ben Bernier and Gabe Crosby had two hits each for Poland.

WELLS 9, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 1: Charlie Bell hit an RBI triple, and Andrew Skeats and Michael Wrigley each added RBI doubles as the Warriors (1-1) downed the Raiders (0-3) at Wells.

Nick Cousins and Skeats finished with two hits apiece for Wells, which combined for five runs in the third and fourth innings to build a 7-0 lead.

Cousins was also the winning pitcher, giving up one run on two hits, striking out five and walking three over six innings.

CAPE ELIZABETH 16, YORK 4: The Capers (2-0) used an eight-run fourth inning to roll past the Wildcats (2-1) at York.

Cape had five consecutive hits in the fourth, including home runs by Brendan Tinsman and Nate Ingalls.

Dylan Roberts also homered for the Capers.

Christopher Neilsen had a double and a pair of singles for York.

YARMOUTH 4, FREPORT 1: Jack Snyder went 2 for 3 with three runs and two stolen bases to lift the Clippers (2-0) over the Falcons (1-1) at Yarmouth.

Snyder scored on a single by Joe DeFusco that gave the Clippers a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning.

Gibson Harnett gave up five hits and one walk, striking out five batters over 52/3 shutout innings to earn the win.

SACOPEE VALLEY 7, TRAIP ACADEMY 4: Brandon Burnell struck out seven in a five-hitter, had three hits and scored twice to lead Sacopee Valley (3-0) past the Rangers (1-2) at Kittery.

Roderick Maynard drove in two runs, and D.J. Shea and Cam Cyr scored twice each as Sacopee built a 7-0 lead in the fifth inning.

Coleman Pelkey singled with one out in the bottom of the fifth to break up Burnell’s no-hitter. Traip went on to score three times before adding a final run on Alex Foye’s homer in the sixth.

BONNY EAGLE 6, MARSHWOOD 1: Dana McKay held the Hawks (1-1) to two hits as Bonny Eagle (1-1) won at South Berwick.

Arlo Pike of the Scots drove home four runs with a single and a double. Troy Bogdahn also had a pair of hits for Bonny Eagle.

Holden Jackman lined a double for Marshwood.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 9, WAYNFLETE 1: Pinch-hitter Jacob Maloney hit a two-out, two-run double and Dustin Brown added a pinch RBI single during a six-run seventh inning as the Seagulls (2-0) pulled away from the Flyers (0-2) at Portland.

Logan Melnick relieved in the first inning for Old Orchard with the bases loaded and no outs, down 1-0, and shut the inning down.

Melnick pitched six innings, allowing no runs, striking out nine and walking none.

Sam Cousteau had a double and a pair of singles for the Seagulls.

Ben Mallon finished with two hits for the Flyers.

GREELY 7, LAKE REGION 1: Ryan Twitchell struck out 11 with four hits and one walk over six innings as Greely (2-0) defeated the Lakers (0-2) in Naples.

The Rangers, leading 3-1 after four innings, broke the game open on Brad Spoerri’s three-run homer in the fifth.

Cal Soule had two hits, an RBI and two runs for Greely. Mark Mayo registered two of Lake Region’s hits and the sole RBI.

OCEANSIDE 7, MAINE CENTRAL INSTITUTE 1: Thomas Curtis hit a two-run double and Logan Sheridan added a two-run triple to lead the Mariners (3-0) past the Huskies (1-2) at Pittsfield.

Jake Bartlett struck out three and walked one in a five-hitter for Oceanside.

ERSKINE ACADEMY 13, MEDOMAK VALLEY 2: Erskine Academy (1-1) had five extra-base hits and Luke Peabody hit three singles to lead a 13-hit offense against Medomak Valley (0-2) at Waldoboro.

Nate Howard, Caleb Barden and Cody Beaudoin doubled, and Dylan Presby and Noah Bonsant each hit a triple for Erskine. Howard picked up the win.

CONY 2, CAMDEN HILLS 0: Taylor Heath drove in a pair of runs in the fourth inning to lift the Rams (1-2) over Camden Hills (1-2) at Rockport.

Kolbe Merfeld allowed three hits with five strikeouts and three walks for the win. Riley Boivin and Cam Dunlop each had two hits for Cony, including a double.

Jason Moores doubled for the Windjammers.

HALL-DALE 23, BOOTHBAY REGION 2: Ryan Sinclair drove in four runs to help the Bulldogs (2-0) cruise past the Seahawks (0-2) at Boothbay.

Tyler Dubois drove in three runs for Hall-Dale. Boothbay committed eight errors.

SEARSPORT 7, RICHMOND 0: Troy Reynolds struck out 14 and allowed two hits as Searsport (3-0) rolled past the Bobcats (0-2) at Richmond.

Barrett Grant and Ben Powell doubled for Searsport .

NOKOMIS 4, MARANACOOK 0: Cody Rice picked up the win, and also had two hits and two RBI for Nokomis (2-1) against the Black Bears (2-1) at Readfield.

Rice went six innings, and allowed three hits and a walk, striking out two. Brad Allen added a pair of singles for Nokomis.
