SOUTH HIRAM — Brady Anderson gave up one run over six innings Wednesday as Sacopee Valley defeated North Yarmouth Academy 7-3 in a Western Maine Conference baseball game.

Roderick Maynard hit a two-run double in the third inning and Dana Shea finished with two hits for Sacopee (4-0) against the Panthers (2-1).

Anderson gave up five hits.

SCARBOROUGH 15, NOBLE 1: Morgan Pratt went 2 for 3 with four RBI and scored twice as the Red Storm (2-0) rolled past the Knights (0-3) in five innings at Scarborough.

Pratt had a two-run single in Scarborough’s seven-run second inning.

Connor Kelly added a double and a single for the Red Storm.

WELLS 8, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0: Andrew Skeats and Nick Cousins each went 3 for 3 to lead the Warriors (2-1) over the Patriots (2-3) at Wells.

Shawn Ramsey had an RBI single that started a four-run third inning, giving Wells a 5-0 lead.

Skeats and Liam Bell each drove in two runs, and winning pitcher Charlie Bell allowed two hits over five innings, striking out two. Cody Cousins added two hits and an RBI.

BONNY EAGLE 9, BIDDEFORD 2: Arlo Pike’s grand slam in the seventh inning capped a late surge by the Scots (2-1), who scored six times in the final two innings to pull away from the Tigers (0-2) at Biddeford.

Pike also had a single, a walk and scored twice. Kerry Crepeau had two singles and a run for Biddeford.

SOUTH PORTLAND 7, SANFORD 1: Sam Troiano pitched a two-hitter and also homered as the Red Riots (2-0) pulled away from Sanford (0-3) at South Portland.

Drew Abramson singled home two runs and then scored to give South Portland a 3-0 lead in the first inning. The Red Riots added three in the third before Troiano homered in the sixth.

Troiano also struck out 10, and Nick Troiano had three hits and an RBI for the Riots.

MARSHWOOD 6, MASSABESIC 1: Nick Landis allowed one run on five hits to lead the Hawks (2-1) over the Mustangs (1-1) at South Berwick.

Landis struck out six and walked two, and Ryan O’Neil and Aidan Place each had two hits and one RBI for Marshwood.

Nate Curtis and Jeremy Jacques each had a hit and an RBI.

Simon Roberts had two hits and Jacob Gregoire drove in the Mustangs’ run in the seventh inning. Weston Bergeron struck out two over four innings.

THORNTON ACADEMY 3, CHEVERUS 2: Luke Chessey singled to tie the game in the seventh inning and the winning run scored when the ball was misplayed as the Trojans (2-0) defeated the Stags (1-1) at Saco.

Singles by Zach Ham and Josh LePauloue set the stage for Chessey.

Chessey finished 3 for 4 and drove in two runs, and Ham went 2 for 3 with a double and two runs. Ben Lambert allowed two runs and six hits, with six strikeouts and two walks.

Tre Fletcher went 2 for 4 with a run, and Josh Veroneau added two hits for Cheverus. Jack Casale allowed one run on six hits, striking out three in six innings.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 8, TRAIP ACADEMY 2: Dylan Creswell’s outstanding relief helped the Seagulls (3-0) down the Rangers (1-2) at Old Orchard Beach.

Creswell relieved with two runs in and two outs in the first inning, and allowed one hit and two walks, striking out seven.

Thomas Fregeau and Evan O’Donnell each had three hits for Old Orchard, and Nate Doody contributed a two-run single in the sixth.

DEERING 4, WINDHAM 1: Ian Westphal had a two-run single and Dom Bernard followed with an RBI single to highlight a three-run fourth inning as the Rams (1-1) defeated the Eagles (2-2) at Portland.

Bernard finished with three singles and Westphal added a double.

James Sinclair of the Rams struck out nine, including the side in the seventh.

Tim Greenlaw had a pair of hits for Windham.

PORTLAND 6, WESTBROOK 2: Joey Fusco singled home John Williams and Nick Archambault to give the Bulldogs (2-0) a 3-0 first-inning lead over Westbrook (0-1) at Portland.

Jake Knop, who scored the first run of the inning, led Portland with a single and triple, three runs and a pair of stolen bases.

LACROSSE

WAYNFLETE 12, YORK 11: Will Nelligan had four goals and a pair of assists, including the winner with three minutes left as the Flyers (1-1) beat the Wildcats (0-2) at Portland.

Miles Lipton added three goals, and Hank Duvall had two goals and three assists for Waynflete. Henry McCarddin led York with three goals and an assist. James Boksanski and Sam Sinclair each scored twice.

SOUTH PORTLAND 15, BIDDEFORD 2: Cooper Mehlhorn had six goals and an assist as the Red Riots (1-1) got past the Tigers (1-2) at Biddeford.

Jack Fiorini added four goals and two assists for South Portland. Cody Sevigny and John Gilliam scored for Biddeford.

GREELY 7, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 3: Samuel Peck scored three goals for Greely in an opener at Yarmouth.

Ben Kennedy, Alex Kroot, William Hall and Josh Lawless also scored for the Rangers. Thomas Pitts had two goals and Sam Johnson the other for NYA.

FALMOUTH 10, KENNEBUNK 5: Jack Scribner scored four goals to lead the Yachtsmen (2-0) past Kennebunk (1-1) at Falmouth.

Henry Norris added a pair of goals for Falmouth.

WELLS 14, LAKE REGION 3: Ethan Marsh scored six goals, and Chad Fitzpatrick and Evan Whitten added three each to carry the Warriors in an opener at Wells.

Sam Hazlett and Tyler Whitten also scored for Wells. Nicholas Lepage had two goals and Hunter Russo the other for the Lakers.
