OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Roderick Maynard pitched 10 hitless innings without giving up a walk, then hit a two-run single in the 11th inning to give Sacopee Valley a 2-0 win over Old Orchard Beach in a Western Maine Conference baseball game Friday.

Maynard finished with 13 strikeouts and had two of his team’s four hits. He was unable to finish the game on the mound because of the 10-inning limit, but Brandon Burnell completed the no-hitter in the bottom of the 11th.

Sacopee improved to 5-0, while OOB dropped to 3-1.

OCEANSIDE 11, MARANACOOK 0: Logan Sheridan threw a five-inning perfect game as the Mariners (4-0) beat the Black Bears (3-2) in Thomaston.

Oceanside scored nine runs in a second inning that included three stolen bases, four walks, three wild pitches and a three-run homer by Thomas Curtis.

Sheridan (2-0) recorded five strikeouts.

CAPE ELIZABETH 6, KENNEBUNK 3: Brendan Tinsman hit a three-run homer in the top of the 10th inning to lift the Capers (3-1) over the Rams (2-3) in Kennebunk.

Tinsman also struck out eight in three innings of relief, but Kennebunk tied the game with two runs off Tinsman in the bottom of the seventh, getting RBI singles from Brian Hickey and Ian Connors.

Cape broke a 1-1 deadlock in the top of the sixth on an RBI single by Dylan Roberts and a fielder’s choice grounder by Marshall Peterson.

YARMOUTH 8, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 5: Joe DeFusco drove in the go-ahead run with a two-run single in the top of the seventh inning as the Clippers (4-0) scored four runs to rally past the Patriots (2-4) at Gray.

Gray-New Gloucester trailed 4-0 but came back to tie the game with four runs in the bottom of the fifth, including a three-run double from Daulton Corthell. The Patriots took the lead in the sixth.

GREELY 4, WELLS 3: Brad Spoerri allowed just two hits and one run in his first career start to lead the Rangers (3-0) over the Warriors (2-2) in Cumberland.

Spoerri pitched six innings and walked three while striking out six. Ryan Twitchell got the final three outs to earn the save.

Greely scored three runs in the fourth, opened the inning with three straight hits before Dylan Fried and Luke Miller hit RBI singles to give the Rangers a 3-1 lead.

Nick Cousins had a single and a double for Wells.

FALMOUTH 11, FREEPORT 2: Connor Aube went 3 for 5 with a home run and a triple and drove in a pair of runs to pace a 13-hit attack for the Yachtsmen (4-0) against the Falcons (1-3) at Falmouth.

Jesse Melchiskey added a pair of hits, including a double, and drove in three runs.

Falmouth starter Reece Armitage struck out 10 batters and gave up two runs on three hits over 51/3 innings.

Caleb Rice had a pair of singles for the Falcons.

YORK 11, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 2: Chris Neilson hit a three-run homer in the second inning and finished with three hits and six RBI to lead the Wildcats (4-1) past the Raiders (0-5) at York.

Ian Hovde also had three hits and drove in a pair of run. York scored at least two runs in each of the first four innings to build a 10-1 lead.

Hunter Day hit a solo homer for the Raiders.

POLAND 5, LAKE REGION 1: Jake Wiseman hit a two-run single and scored a run as the Knights (1-3) got five runs in the third inning and held off the Lakers (0-3) at Poland.

Ben Bernier and Caleb Hodgkin each added an RBI single. Bernier also scored a run.

Damon Knight hit a double and a single and scored a run for the Lakers. Chase Weese contributed a pair of singles.

BANGOR 5, BRUNSWICK 2: Ryan Brookings went 3 for 3 with a pair of doubles to pace the Rams (5-0) over the Dragons (1-4) at Bangor.

Bangor starter Peter Kemble gave up two runs on six hits while striking out six and walking two over five innings.

Will Bessey had three hits, including two doubles, for the Dragons.

WINTHROP 18, BOOTHBAY 0: Jackson Ladd went 5 for 5 with a home run and a double, and Antonio Meucci allowed one hit as the Ramblers (1-2) blanked the Seahawks (0-4) in a five-inning game at Boothbay Harbor.

Bennett Brooks went 3 for 3 with a triple and Meucci ripped two doubles. Meucci faced the minimum 15 batters, as the only Boothbay base runner was thrown out trying to stretch a single into a double.

CONY 5, MT. BLUE 3: Zach Charest drove in the tying run in the sixth inning and Taylor Heath knocked in the go-ahead run as the Rams (2-3) rallied for a win over the Cougars (0-5) in Augusta.

MONMOUTH 10, HALL-DALE 3: Avery Pomerleau had three hits as the Mustangs (4-0) handed the Bulldogs (3-1) their first loss, at Farmingdale.

Nick Sanborn worked the first five innings to earn the win. Monmouth finished with 10 hits, all singles.

Hall-Dale got doubles from Cole Lockhart, Tyler Nadeau and Tyler Dubois.

ERSKINE 10, MCI 0: Cody Taylor had three hits, including a double, to lead the Eagles (3-1) to a win over the Huskies (0-4) in Pittsfield.

LACROSSE

GREELY 19, LAKE REGION 3: Connor Wyman scored six goals to lead the Rangers (2-0) over the Lakers (0-3) in Cumberland.

Will Hall added three goals for Greely, which led 12-2 at halftime.

Mason Laplante scored twice for Lake Region.
