“Gov. LePage apologizes for abrupt end to event speech” read the Press Herald headline (Page A1, April 28).

Well, no; he didn’t.

My Funk & Wagnalls defines “to apologize” as “to acknowledge, with regret, any fault or offense.” Neither of those elements was present in the governor’s statement.

What we had instead was a typically lame attempt to lay the blame for his own egregious act onto someone else.

I am afraid this is more evidence that our governor seriously needs help dealing with his temper.
