MANCHESTER, N.H. — Rowdy Tellez hit a two-run homer that capped a four-run fifth inning as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats beat the Portland Sea Dogs 8-1 Tuesday night

Tellez finished with three hits and two runs. Roemon Fields added four hits and three runs for the Fisher Cats (13-17), who took the lead with an unearned run in the bottom of the first inning and never trailed in the game.

Portland (10-22) tied a season high with five errors, which led to two unearned runs.

Portland cut the deficit to 2-1 in the top of the fifth inning when Wendell Rijo doubled and scored on a double by Tzu-Wei Lin.

Jeremy Gabryszwski (1-1) gave up five hits and struck out five over six innings to earn the win for the Fisher Cats. Jason Berken allowed just one hit over three scoreless innings of relief to pick up the save.

Portland starter Ty Buttrey (0-5) gave up six runs, four earned, on seven hits over 42/3 innings. He struck out three batters and walked one. Tim Roberson hit a pair of singles for the Sea Dogs.
