I read with outrage and frustration the article in the April 26 Portland Press Herald headlined “Attorney General’s Office: LePage broke law by holding private meeting of education task force.” Our governor, again, flouts the law again and no one stops him.

As a taxpayer and concerned Mainer, I think the future of K-12 education in our state is the most important issue.

I hope that this task force is more than the governor’s hand-picked in-group and that they will take the time to listen to all that want to attend, not just the few who were invited. Closing off the first meeting is not a good way to start!

Although it may not be apparent to Gov. LePage, there are a great many Mainers who think differently than he does and want to be heard.
