At Greely Middle School in Cumberland, sixth-grade students learn about the anatomy and young lives of trout as part of the Portland Water District’s TroutKids program.
The students have been raising trout since January, monitoring their development over four months in chilled incubator tanks in a classroom.
The program culminated Tuesday with students releasing baby trout into Collyer Brook in Gray.
