I would think that the city of Portland could think of ways to cut spending instead of always raising taxes.
We have a development boom that will generate $1.5 million in new taxes. We are also paying more for trash bags. We also have a new stormwater fee.
Now we are facing a 2.3 percent increase in property taxes.
