FALMOUTH — Reece Armitage pitched a two-hitter and Tyler Gee lined an RBI single in the first inning as Falmouth edged Yarmouth 1-0 in a Western Maine Conference baseball game Monday.

Gee finished with a pair of hits, including a double. Connor Aube also had a double and scored the only run.

Armitage struck out eight and walked two as he improved to 6-0. Falmouth is  14-0.

Luke Klenda of Yarmouth (7-5-1) allowed five hits.

DEERING 7, PORTLAND 2: Pat Viola drove in the go-ahead run with a two-out RBI single in the top of the fifth inning, and the Rams (6-6) added four runs in the sixth as they pulled away from the Bulldogs (10-3) at Hadlock Field.

James Sinclair hit an RBI double and Nate Loranger added an RBI single in the sixth inning. Loranger finished with three hits, and Viola and Dom Bernard added two hits apiece.

Deering pitcher Colby Dame had three strikeouts and no walks in throwing an eight-hitter.

Joe Fusco and Camren King had two hits apiece for Portland.

GREELY 2, WELLS 1: Justin Leeman led off the top of the seventh with a single and scored on a bases-loaded walk to Brad Spoerri, lifting the Rangers (9-4-1) to a win over the Warriors (7-6) in Wells.

Leeman also scored in the first inning and finished with three hits. Matt Pisini added two hits for the Rangers.

Wells tied the game in the bottom of the sixth when Matt Marrero scored from second base on an infield single by Michael Wrigley.

Ryan Twitchell struck out six over six innings to earn the win. Calvin Soule recorded the save.

FREEPORT 4, YORK 2: Colby Wagner hit a tie-breaking two-run single in the bottom of the sixth inning to give the Falcons (9-5) a win over the Wildcats (10-4) in Freeport.

The Falcons opened the scoring on a two-run homer by Jack Davenport in the fourth inning.

York tied the game in the sixth on sacrifice flies by Malcolm Hughes and Matt Trainor.

Davenport finished with two hits. Ian Hovde and Jack Kelley each had two hits for the Wildcats.

MORSE 2, OCEANSIDE 1: Tait Nygaard scattered six hits and drove in a run as the Shipbuilders (4-10) beat the Mariners (10-3) in Bath.

Morse grabbed the lead in the first inning when Nygaard singled home Parker Onorato. Tyler Young scored on Brendan Harper’s single to make it 2-0 in the second.

Oceanside got its run in the fourth inning when Logan Sheridan scored on a groundout by Hunter Davis.

TRAIP ACADEMY 6, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 1: Ryan Perkins doubled and scored as part of a four-run sixth inning as the Rangers (9-4) pulled away from the Panthers (5-9) in Kittery.

NYA got its run in the top of the third on an RBI single by Galen Arnold.

SACOPEE VALLEY 11, WAYNFLETE 0: Brandon Burnell struck out nine and allowed just one hit in four innings as the Hawks (12-2) defeated the Flyers (3-8) in a five-inning game in South Hiram.

Dana Shea and Brady Anderson each hit an RBI double in the first inning and an RBI single in the third. Kyle Jordan tripled home a run in the second inning.

DEERING 12, MARANACOOK/WINTHROP 6: Bryce Randall scored five goals to lead the Rams (4-5) over the Hawks (7-3) in Readfield.

Nathan Richards, Andrew Johnson and Nick James each recorded two goals and two assists for Deering, which outscored the Hawks 8-1 in the second half.

YORK 18, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 12: Joe Graziano scored three times in the first quarter as York (5-5) opened a 6-2 lead on the way to a win over the Raiders (5-5) in Fryeburg.

Tucker Fegan and Jack Rohr also scored three times for York.

Jeremiah Schrader led Fryeburg with four goals.
