WHAT: “Dancing with Steel en Plein Air”

Choreographer Alison Chase and her nephew, Nigel Chase, who is director of the Atlantic Clarion Steel Band, present site-inspired dance performances across Maine. Their venues range from a field on Penobscot Bay to Portland’s Congress Square, and the performances include humor, illusion and athleticism unique to each performance spot.

WHEN: July 27, Belfast, Steamboat Landing Park; July 28, Acadia National Park, Schoodic Arts for All; July 29-31, Prospect, Fort Knox; Aug. 2, Deer Isle, Bridge End Park; Aug. 3 Portland, Congress Square Park; Aug. 4, Freeport, Wolfe’s Neck Woods State Park. All performances begin at 5:30 p.m.
