CONCORD, N.H. – With the unofficial start of summer, gas prices are creeping up in northern New England.

GasBuddy surveys show the average retail price in Maine at $2.37 per gallon, up 2.5 cents from the week before.

In New Hampshire the price per gallon is $2.28 per gallon, up nearly 3 cents in the last week. The average price per gallon in Vermont is $2.34, up 1.7 cents from last week.

The national average of $2.32 has increased 11.1 cents during the last month and stands 42.7 cents per gallon lower than this day one year ago.
