Richard Fitzgerald of Buxton defeated Gerald Gilpatrick of Limerick Tuesday in the Democratic primary for the District 22 seat in the Maine House of Representative.
With final results provided Wednesday, Fitzgerald received 58 percent of the votes and Gilpatrick got 42 percent. The district represents Limington and parts of Standish, Buxton and Limerick.
Fitzgerald will challenge incumbent Republican Jonathan Kinney in November.
