Westbrook police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the person who committed a commercial burglary on June 17.

Reported stolen was about $1,800 worth of lawn and garden equipment – a push lawnmower, a backpack leaf blower, an electric broom and a weed whacker. Police did not identify the business from which the equipment was stolen.

The thief was driving a late-model GMC Sierra four-door pickup truck, according to police. It is believed to be a dark color. The suspect is white with an average build and wore a baseball cap.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call the Westbrook Police Department at 854-0644.
