Coastal Landscape went to extra innings twice Saturday to sweep the Sebago Lakers in an American Legion Zone 3 baseball doubleheader.

Ian Westphal drove in Pat Sullivan in the 10th inning for a 2-1 victory in the opener, and Sullivan drove in the winning run in the ninth inning for a 6-5 victory in the second game for Coastal (9-6) against Sebago (6-7).

In the opener, Troy Bogdahn pitched a complete game for Sebago, allowing two runs on six hits, striking out eight.

In the second game, Roderick Maynard had four hits for Sebago.

STAPLES CROSSING SWEEPS SACO & BIDDEFORD SAVINGS: Zach Hodges scored the winning run on a sacrifice fly by Zach Cahill to give Staples Crossing (9-5) a 4-3 win over Saco & Biddeford Savings (9-5) in the first game of a Zone 4 doubleheader at South Berwick.

Nick Landis threw a complete game, allowing three runs and striking out one for Staples Crossing.

In the second game, Cole McDaniels had two hits and drove in four runs to help Staples Crossing to a 15-8 victory. Landis drove in three runs, and Hodges and Clint Knowles each added two hits. Colin Lavigne had an RBI single for Saco & Biddeford Savings.

YANKEE FORD SWEEPS SUMMIT NATURAL GAS: Matt Riggle had two hits and an RBI in the first game, and doubled and scored the go-ahead run in the second as Yankee Ford (13-0) stayed perfect with a sweep of Summit Natural Gas (3-13) at Yarmouth, 4-2 and 4-1.

Drew Abramson had two doubles, an RBI and a run for Yankee in the first game, and Aaron Radziucz an RBI double. Chris Romano rapped a two-run double for Summit Gas.

Alex Livingston and Matt Crockett paced Yankee Ford in the second game with two hits and an RBI each. Luke Klenda singled twice for Summit.

JUNIOR LEGION

CAPE ELIZABETH 12, FAYETTE-STAPLES 1: Cooper Hoffman hit a two-run single in a six-run first inning and the Capers (6-6) beat Fayette-Staples (1-11) at Cape Elizabeth.

Jameson Bakke drove in two runs, and Sean Agrodnia picked up the win for Cape Elizabeth, allowing one run on two hits, striking out five in four innings.

THIRSTY TURF 17, FITNESS FACTORY 8: Brady Freeman and Bay Smalley each drove home three runs over the final two innings as Thirsty Turf broke away from a 6-6 tie with four runs in the top of the sixth and seven in the seventh at Harlow Field in Portland.

Freeman and Smalley drew bases-loaded walks in the sixth. Freeman tripled home two runs in the seventh and also scored. Smalley added a two-run double and a run in the seventh.

Hayden O’Donnell contributed two hits, two RBI and three runs for Thirsty Turf.

MORRILL POST SWEEPS SACOPEE VALLEY: Caden Horton went 3 for 3 and drove in three runs to lead Morrill Post (9-2) to an 11-1 win over Sacopee Valley in five innings in the first game at South Portland.

In the second game, Horton added two hits and had one RBI, and Riley Hasson went 3 for 4 with two RBI to help Morrill Post to a 13-4 victory. Noah McHugh allowed no earned runs on three hits, striking out three.

NECBL

MAINERS 5, BLUE SOX 4: Jonah Normandeau, Cole Townsend and Thomas Fortier combined to hold Valley (12-13) to five hits, but gave up eight walks as Sanford (13-12) won at Holyoke, Massachusetts.

Sanford, down 2-0 early, took the lead with a four-run fourth inning powered by Tristan Chari’s three-run double and Jordan Powell’s RBI single. Michael Landestoy singled home Todd Czinege to widen the lead to 5-2 in the fifth before the Blue Sox pulled within one with two in the bottom of the ninth.
