AUGUSTA — Donnie Tocci pitched a complete game with six strikeouts and three walks Friday as Portland defeated Augusta 4-2 in a Babe Ruth state tournament game for 13- to 15-year-olds.

Garrett Tracy singled in a run for Portland. Austin Stebbins and Logan Porter each had two hits for Augusta.

Portland is 1-1 in the five-team round-robin, with the top two teams advancing to the state final. Augusta is 0-2.

TRI-COUNTY 6, AUGUSTA 2: Garrett Garbarini and Will Dietrich each had two hits to help Tri-County win at Augusta.

Garbarini also struck out six in five innings for Tri-County, which is 1-0.

APPLE VALLEY 12, SANFORD 4: Reid Cote and Codie Duguay each picked up two hits as Apple Valley won at Augusta.

Jonah Bergeron added a double and Jared Beckwith pitched six strong innings for Apple Valley. Ryan Townsend had two singles for Sanford.

Apple Valley is 2-0 in the tournament. Sanford is 0-1.

BABE RUTH 14-YEAR-OLD

TRI-COUNTY 2, PORTLAND 1: Dylan Desroches hit a walk-off double to lift Tri-County in the state tourney at Harrison.

Brian Riley doubled and scored for Portland in the seventh inning. Janek Luksza pitched a complete game for Tri-County.

Tri-County is 1-0 in the five-team round-robin tourney. Portland dropped to 1-1. The top two teams meet for the title Monday.

WINDHAM 23, APPLE VALLEY 3: Max Lauzier doubled, and Nolan Kent and Caleb McCartney each added two hits to lead Windham in a five-inning game at Harrison.

Noel Redlon picked up the win, pitching two innings of relief. Owen Shaw and Trevor Flanagan each had two hits, including a double, for Apple Valley.

Windham is 1-0. Apple Valley is 0-2.

TRI-COUNTY 9, CENTRAL MAINE 4: Dylan Desroches doubled and drove in two runs to help Tri-County win at Harrison.

SANFORD 8, WINNIPESAUKEE 5: Michael Landestoy hit a two-run double as part of a seven-run fifth inning to help the Mainers (17-13) beat Winnipesaukee (14-14) at Sanford.

Ako Thomas added an RBI single in the fifth and finished with two hits and a run, and Shaine Hughes and Nelson Mompierre each added two hits. Daniel Weilson picked up the win, allowing one earned run on three hits and two walks, striking out four in five innings.

TWILIGHT LEAGUE

AERO 5, ON TARGET 1: Sean Murphy broke a 1-1 tie with an RBI single in the seventh inning and Aero (8-6-1) went on to beat On Target (10-5) at Portland.

Nick Bowie had two hits, scored twice and drove in a run, and Nick Bowie went 2 for 4 with an RBI and two runs for Aero. Ben Rollins of On Target allowed one run in six innings, striking out two.

EMPIRE LEAGUE

SULLIVAN 3, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 1: Chris Allen hit an RBI single in the fifth inning as the Explorers (18-20) beat the Surge (22-17) at Sheldrake, New York.
